Taking card payments in different currencies overseas

Hello!
Hopefully someone has some tips on this. I'm a musician in a band. The band is (or very soon will be) a limited company.
We're tidying up how we run things. Until now, when we've toured we've used a SumUp reader and APP to take card payments for records and things we sell at shows. Mainly in the UK. We've also travelled to the EU and used the same SumpUp reader and APP there, and adjusted pricing to show Euro and GBP options.
We are now due to travel to the US and Canada for another tour and we'll need a to take card payments out there too.
We don't yet have a business account. I've had a look at Starling Business Acc, which can include a USD account for a fee, but it only accepts ACH payments. Not sure how this would affect transactions or if we could even use a card reader out there to directly pay into that USD account.
In the past I've used TransferWise (now Wise) for my old repair business when taking payments from the US. But my customers felt it was awkward, and I seem to recall more ACH/SWIFT issues. Though that is some time ago.
Another options would be to set up a proper US bank account perhaps. We'll be getting social security numbers as we'll need to pay tax. So maybe that would help, but as we're travelling on P1 Visa's, maybe we can't set up an account anyway...
So! Any suggestions about traveling and taking payments in different currencies would be great.
