Can someone that has had an online slot please tell me what the process is for ordering as it never seems to be the same from one sale to the next! Do you have to know what the items you want are (ie is it just a list - no photos)? I just want to be as prepared as possible so that I know what I am doing!

Just had my 1st one tonight so no previous experience.

There are pics of everything there but in future I'd draw up a list beforehand & type it in - makes it easier & saves a little time.

What a nightmare - be very carefull deleting items in your basket as it seems to throw you out when you do, leaving your basket you have taken ages to fill empty. Must be a blip as it happened several times to me.

Anyway didn't spend much as alot has gone and I was determined to buy the items I fancied in the directory and would have paid full price for.

Very disappointing and I have had a fairly early slot!

HI I had one of the earliest slots at 6.00pm and to be honest quite a bit of the kids stuff was sold out at that time! there was quite a bit of stuff in the 3-4 age range but not much in the 6-7.

Something weird did happen though, after i had put in all the kids stuff and got onto ordering a couple of bits and bobs for myself i had a box pop up on the screen saying " you cannot order more than 70 items in this sale please proceed to checkout", it wouldnt let me add anything to my basket BUT i didnt have 70 items in my basket (far from it actually!) so i phoned up cusomer services who put the rest of my order through over the phone and added it onto the online order so i wouldnt have to pay an extra delivery charge.

If you've had a VIP slot you can still phone through any bits that you've missed off your online order.

My slot was started at 8.30pm tonight, but about a third of the things i wanted were gone already...mostly clothes for my toddler son. Got the main things I wanted though so I don't mind really. Spent £118 ( some of which will prob be sent back!)

Didn't get any of the problems mentioned when deleting things from my list. That thing about only being able to order 70 items (when you haven't even got that much in your basket) happened to me in their last sale & by the time I logged back in and re-ordered, some of the things I'd had in my basket were sold out.

I ordered yesterday in the 6-6.30 slot, but haven't received an email confirmation yet. Have others received theirs? I think there might have been a prob with Virgin email system yesterday as I didn't receive any emails at all, but I want to make sure my order has gone through. 'Next' phonelines are so busy.

I also had a slot 6-6.30 yesterday and I received my confirmation email straight away after completing my order (all £285 of it!!)

Thanks Carbal. In the end I spent ages on hold on their phonelines just to check. My £300+ order has indeed been processed - now all I need to do is find the money to pay for it! Would have been gutted if it had been lost, but couldn't help thinking that would have been fate stepping in to stop me from buying things I really don't need!

To the contrary! I had one of the first VIP slots yesterday and got everything I wanted bar around 10 items that were out of stock in my size - most of these were suits i.e. jacket in the wrong size so no point ordering the trousers. However it did all go out of stock very very quickly!

What was poor was the list that they mailed to vips - it only had around 1/3 of the stuff on it that was actually on sale in the online sale. I read through it and thought what a guff sale, then sat with the catalogue, wrote down the numbers of everything I wanted and then checked them online on teh vip preview and apart from a few things, everything was on sale just not on the vip posted list!
