SmartSave - "We can't set up your savings account right now"?

Just tried to open a SmartSave 1 Year Fixed account but get the above message.  I can't think of any reason for this, never had a problem with opening a new account until now.  Has anyone else experienced issues like this with SmartSave recently.

Looks like I'll need to find another provider for the money I withdrew today for this new account which is currently sitting in my current account......frustrating!  I realise there are 1 or 2 others that are close to the SmartSave rate.

    I had the same problem yesterday and no idea why. Their loss, my money will be going elsewhere (not that they've given me a choice).

    Not that I'm happy you had an issue too but it makes me feel a bit better that I'm not the only one!
