Morning...Bit drizzly here but not too bad, I may venture to a garden centre today. I do need some new compost, just for the seeds which need sowing pretty soon. I will go to a local family run one for that but I'm going to the other one today to look at Lakeland and expensive pots but will probably spring for a cream scone...I made liver and bacon last night so that's my supper, OH not keen but he might be going out straight from work anyway. I'll make him something tomorrow or suggest we go out.. One of his friends lives near the pub and could probably do with a an hour or two's company so we'll let him know too. Got no other plans for today, except going easy on the crochet, my thumb is begining to hurt.Scarlet, your bum story made tea come out of my nose...Gers, I can see you fighting your way through with snowploughs and machetes...Maybe give it another day
TA, enjoy the impromptu company. Bella, it might have been Ruby or camelot that recommended them, they're not cheap but the quality was very good. mehefin, enjoy your posh hotel dinner..Rosy, just smash the meatballs down and they'll take less room and hey presto, bolognese sauce. And Fatty is a big old lump of a cat, he's 8kg, but he is a toal scaredy cat, whereas his tiny sister is like Mike Tyson on a bad day if she spots any other living being around the house [except her mum, she's scared fo her mum] ...nmlc, I'm sure you put down what you eat every day to see if someone will call you on it...that one above sounds like something an AI would put together...:) Nels, happy rummaging, surely there's a liver and bacon in there?
Take care all, a cuddly blanket is needed today....

Morning everyone,
We had a fine covering of snow yesterday morning, but it had disappeared by lunchtime, much to little ones disappointment. We had a lovely tea party at mam and dads for my dad's birthday - Gers I remembered your mums was the same day - little one was so excited and had spent all day telling everyone that great grandad was 88 years old.
I went in the shed earlier to fill up Trixie's food box and discovered she only had 8 packets left. Looked on Amazon for the Felix good as it looks I usually buy - it had doubled in price from the last time I bought it! Eventually found Iams on an offer and then 20/ off so ordered that - hopefully she'll like it.
Well short and sweet from me as I need to get dressed for work. Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Morning all, we had more snow overnight but the sun is shining this morning and so the thaw begins. Sadly it's brought back that bitter wind too, I'm never satisfied 😁 This morning Mr Fix It has been bombarding me with figures and I'm not good in the mornings, he missed his calling as an accountant I think 🤨
Anyway today I have some corned beef pasties to make as I ran out of steam when baking yesterday. I made a banana cake, which needs chocolate coating today, pear and apple turnovers, minus one for just for quality control 😋 and steak pies. The steak pies and turnovers made it to the freezer and we had a steak pie for tea yesterday with chips. I'm going to have another coffee before doing the potatoes and onions ready for the pasties, then make the pasties this afternoon. Oh ! we won on the lottery again, £5 this time so that's £7.50 in 2 weeks. I wonder when will be win big though ?
TA thank goodness for grandparents eh ?
Gers safe journey home.
Scarlet I too giggled at the title of the story, wish mine would disappear ! 🤣
Redruby fingers crossed for your car today.
Rosy hopefully DH will find another van soon.
Mehefin we seem to have missed all the heavy rain and just had light showers which turned back to snow.
Nels take care, I'm sure there's something nice lurking in your freezer. I've got a hankering for bacon and eggs now.
Bella I go to Lidl if I only want a smallish shop as it doesn't have much stock, but they are trying to build a new one near Morries so 🤞.
taff I love liver and bacon too but I keep forgetting to buy liver !
Sorry if I've forgotten anyone. Take care all, hugs to anyone in need

Morning all from a wild and woolly corner of Kent. No snow here
cracking up with decorating hall etc, up and down the ladder must be good for me eh?
an afternoon tea tomorrow, to fund raise for our local village volunteers who do a great job of keeping our place ‘in bloom’
take great care if you’re out and aboutCarolbee13 -
Evening all, we had a couple of inches of snow during the night, but it was soft and has mostly gone now.....DD 2 took DH to hospital appointment and consultant has booked him for a CT scan on Tuesday, they may do a bypass to clear his veins, so hopefully we will then have an answer to his problems with walking.
Looking for a pattern that I used to off this morning, I found 6 baby cardigans that just need buttons, so not going to bother making more for nephew's fourth baby due this month.....very pleased as knitting is not the relaxing hobby it used to be since chemo.....both hands have constant pins and needles.
Hugs for all who could do with one for any reason.
