Hi @KeithP / @Coupon-mad just checking in here - I have received the direction questionnaire from UKPC and a letter to confir they are proceeding, but nothing from the county court re: direction questionnaire. Acknowledgement was done online on 27/02/2023  - I have emailed county court to request this. however, should I just print off a copy online or continue to wait?

Remember that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence?

Time to go back to that checklist and read item 7 on it...
Items 8, 9 and 10 may also be useful.

    As an aside...
Can anyone suggest a better way of getting this information in front of people?
I write a post like this most days and this is the second time today.
How can we avoid people forgetting about the information they have already been given?
Perhaps @sical5, you too can give us your thoughts on this?

It will be at least 28 days from filing your defence to the CCBC sending you a DQ, the one you’ve received from DCBL is standard procedure…

The CCBC are working through a backlog of emails, they’re approximately 4 weeks behind.

Keep checking  MCOL for any updates.

Perhaps a revamp of the education system with a bit more teaching of some basics of the legal system?  :#

I feel your pain but with such poor forum software and no facility to provide an easy link to a document archive rather than having to use the pathetic search engine and then still have to trawl through endless posts to find what you are looking for.

Maybe we should tell visitors to print off the checklist?

Thanks for the reminder! I can imagine it being frustrating - there is a lot of info in the posts (which is super useful) - however, when I started looking again it took a while to find what I needed and I just couldn't find the next step (I went back to the newbies post and a lot of the earlier parts dont apply at this stage).

The following is where the info is kept of what I needed. Personally, it would help if it could be renamed - something along the lines of 'step by step guide if going through CCBC? that would make it easier to find

    As Keith said above

All part of the game, Of course you will also proceed and claim your costs if they don't discontinue beforehand ???

    Hi all,

I finally have a court date for the end of Jan (having gone through all the stages with your support - so thank you!). I'm looking to do my witness statement - however not 100% sure what to include / do here. Have re-read numerous times the checklist an other posts - but would be helpful if there's any templates I could follow - the ones on the newbies site don't go anywhere, unless I'm looking in the wrong place?

Referring to the list there's a couple of things I'm also not sure - any help here would be appreciated?
    (a) a copy of the Beavis case sign as a comparison to show how awful the small print sign was in yours case (see Google images - it's yellow and black) - I have this
    (b) photos proving the scarce/illegible small print signs & a view showing the lack of entrance signs, etc.
     I have this
    (c) maybe a video of how it looks from a car? - I have this
    (g) the IPC or BPA Code of practice, where it supports your case (e.g. grace periods) but be sure to use the RIGHT version for the date of parking. where do I find this?
    (i) the Approved Judgment from Southampton, plus paras 98, 193 and 198 from Parking Eye v Beavis copied & pasted onto a single sheet.
    where do I find this?

finally, do I need to re-submit the defense document?
    thanks

Wow does the NEWBIES thread still tell people to use the out of date Southampton judgment?  Eek. No.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
