First we see if what they are saying is correct.

CAn you go back 12 months and find a bill/statement with meter reads on it with the letter A, C, our read / your read.    Now read the meter NOW   -  take great care with modern meters and look for the decimal pint (and ignore numbers after it)

Then we can do some sums and have a guess at what the total charges should be.

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Are you on the priority services register with your energy supplier would be my first question.

£150 for gas and electric could be considered quite a low monthly payment so you could have accrued debt over time.

As @Robin9 has said getting a clear picture and actual usage over the last 12 months is key to helping you out.

I was going to ask how the OP could build £1200 debt in less than 6m, but that level of usage explains it.
How can both fuels be so high, if gas is the main heating source?
Has the OP be getting all the additional age-related support in addition to the EBSS and CT rebate?
Is this bill based on actual, or estimated readings?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

OP has shared the SP bills with me -  went from credit end October to rapidly increasing debt. How quickly can things go wrong.

His gas was 2.6   - remember those days ?

Smart meters throughout - an occasional wobbly.
