Nokia WiFi issues.

Just in case anyone else is having this problem.....

My 3 month old Nokia G11 updated to Android 12 yesterday and since then the WiFi function does not work.

I spent ages trying different settings suggested by Nokia support before discovering it is a know issue affecting Nokia's G11 and G21 phones.

There are hundreds of people on all sorts of forums - including Nokia's own - complaining about this.

Nokia say they aware of the issue and are working on it, but at the moment there is no firm date for the fix.

Thought I'd mention it, in case others are wasting their time changing file settings, thinking it was a fault with their phones.

Hi Krakkkers. Sadly, no. Because it was an Operating System upgrade (from Android 11 to 12) there is no going back.

Have your tried any / all of the following?

    1. Forget the wifi in the settings and reconnect
    2. Reboot the router
    3. Disable battery saver on the phone
    4. Disable adaptive battery
    5. Disable randomise MAC address on the phone
    6. Rebooting the phone itself

Hi [Deleted User] thanks for the suggestions, but the problem is with the WiFi functionality of the phone. As soon as you move the "WiFi On" switch to "On" it immediately moves to "OFF". The same occurs if you go into the "Network and Internet" settings. Move the switch to "Find and Connect to WiFi networks" and, after a pause, the switch moves back to "OFF" on it's own.
Nokia have admitted it is a known issue and will probably be fixed at the next routine update (next month).
Of course, getting the update via WiFi is now no longer possible......

There are pages and pages of complaints in user forums and on Reddit etc

It was suggested that a Hard Reset would fix it, and it did.
I've now got working WiFi and Android 12.
If anybody else decides to try this, bear in mind you will lose data and photos unless you have backed them up.
