I'm off to Norway in December and I'm hoping to see the northern lights.
I have a Samsung Galaxy A13, will I be able to take decent photos and videos with this?

its not the greatest in low light but acceptable, the same goes for video.
if this is the only time you will travel to see the lights i would look for a decent camera to take with you.

I do have a small digital camera, but even that is 10ish years old.

As an astronomer used to taking low light pictures it still amazes me that some people when photographing planets on display, Jupiter and Venus currently, they still use the flash function.
Even happened during an eclipse in 2008.

People do that at sports events etc when they are many tens of yards away from the action.

Many years ago when I was a keen photographer someone asked me if they should use a flash when taking pictures of the images on a TV screen.   :s
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

Test the SD card before you travel. You do not want to find out it is faulty when you are in Norway.

    Have a great time. :)
