Sports Direct return Policy

Hi, not sure if anyone can advise on this - its a small amount but the principal is important, I made a purchase with Sports direct on Monday last week and PAID for next day delivery. I needed the item for Wednesday night. It didn't turn up till Thursday and I had no use for it. So I asked to return it.........they then charged me £4.99 to return it and this cost was whether I used their courier / my courier or dropped off in store. This seems totally wrong when they and their partner courier failed on the delivery and I have to pay.............in fact the courier has got rewarded by delivering late ????.....I have contacted SD and they say thats the way it is ??? Can this be right and legal ?

Good luck with that. They haven't got a great reputation for customer service.
It's not right. At least the bit about being charged for returning it, but it's up to you how much time and effort you want to spend for the sake of a few pounds.0 -
Principals Principles can be very expensive, so depends how much time and money you wish to spend fighting this.gazzatyler said:Hi, not sure if anyone can advise on this - its a small amount but the principal is important, I made a purchase with Sports direct on Monday last week and PAID for next day delivery.
