Autoaid now have £25 excess for cars more than 10 years old

The premium on my car breakdown policy with Emergency Assist has shot up (even when signing up as a new customer) so I was thinking of going back to AutoAid. I was with them for many years until they were taken over and the premiums went up.
I was about to sign up with AutoAid, but before doing so, decided to look at the terms and conditions in detail. My car is 12 years old, and I noticed that they have just made a change from 1st March of this year, whereby if the car that has broken down is more than 10 years old, the customer has to pay the first £25 direct to the recovery operator. However, there is no mention of this anywhere on the website or during the application process. I have pointed this out to them and hope that the situation will be rectified. If not I will be taking things further.
In the meantime, any one signing up to AutoAid who has a car more than 10 years old needs to watch out for this.
