Keoghs are Sainsbury solicitor.Lawn mower was stored in wooden shed outside back door of house. He used it a hour before. Not charged in.Followed the user guide
fire report states fire caused by lithium battery, this isn’t the 1st case a battery has exploded. Maybe not a mower battery.Argos selling S&P goods without advising customers they NOT mad by them is fraud. Goods may be made cheaply else where.Got citizen advice and trading standards involved.0 -

We license IP in both directions routinely, especially when it's in the interests of all parties involved.
It would in many cases be impossible not to unless we were willing to set up (and run at a loss) very expensive facilities on a large scale.💙💛 💔0 -

https://documents.4rgos.it/v1/static/8797212_R_D001When not in use, store the mower out of reach of children and remove the battery pack and isolator key.
Always remove battery pack before storing the device. When battery becomes fully charged, unplug the charger from the power supply and remove the battery pack from the charger. (p13)
Did he do this? I'm flagging this up as I know lots of people don't remove the battery after use then put it back in the shed when the mower has cooled down.
As he didn't have insurance, then you are going to have to do your own investigation to show that he wasn't negligent. They'll probably want the report from the fire brigade to make it clear that the battery had been removed and stored safely, and had then caught fire. e.g. the starting point of the fire was the battery and the battery was NOT in the mower. They'll then probably try and state that a wooden shed next to a house is a fire hazard! How did the fire get INTO the house??
It might be worth trying to find other cases where this model has caused a fire due to its battery.
Or... you accept that sh*t happens, he didn't have insurance, and at 82 years old does he really want to spend months fighting this? You could do one of those crowd fund raising things to see if people will donate money to buy him some new stuff which might be far less stressful.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

So in this case you will have to prove that it was the battery that exploded & not something else that shorted it out.Life in the slow lane0
