Morning everyone Lovely blue sky and sunshine here with a hard frost. We had snow for about 10 minutes yesterday as we came home from nursery, much to little ones excitement. She was making great plans that there would be so much snow this morning that she'd need skis to come to my house! DD will bring her up later as she's going to make cupcakes for my dads birthday tea tomorrow - she's been practising singing Happy Birthday since the weekend. I'd better get dressed as I'm going down to mam and dads for a cuppa and a chat. Hope everyone has a good day - take care if it's icy x
Morning all, we have the snow, we were only having a bit then it was coming back tomorrow, but we've had about 3ins so far and still it falls, tbh the sky looks full of it. All our schools are shut so DD and family are home, I do worry about DD driving as her school is further up the valley and they get the snow before us (and more of it !). It was lovely watching the children who live opposite out playing in the snow, don't think the youngest has ever seen so much of it. ⛄❄ I have already stripped the bed so I'll clean the bedroom and re-make the bed after my tea break, don't think I'll wash the bedding and put it out though 😂 We're gong to have sausage casserole for tea, a nice bit of comfort food and I'll bake a loaf to have with it. Meanmarie Hello, nice to see you. Gers glad you're enjoying the time with your relatives. Take care all if you are going out. Hugs to everyone in need. nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
Had a busy morning (all of which you could have done in a fraction of the time!)
I have a man coming round to clean the downstairs carpet this afternoon. I have that common female syndrome where every time someone steps through your front door the house needs a full clean.(few nodding heads in the house) Anyway Ive given up on my journey to perfection so am just waiting for him to arrive and judge! This is obviously spring clean week for me as my cleaner comes on Friday too so I am ready for visitors at least for a day.
My next problem is lined up.....for some reason one of my loos is not flushing properly so needs to see a plumber asap. Of course it would have to be the downstairs loo so Im currently having to go upstairs even for a quick wee. Good for the step count though.
Thank you for all the lovely comments I missed posting on here a lot but just wasn't in the right place as they say.
Food tonight will be "something". Last night I skipped dinner as I had literally no energy to construct it. Felt grim this morning after way too many hours without nutrition. I have bacon in the fridge so bacon and eggs may be on the menu
Afternoon..sner here but it's not sticking which is good, got to visit someone in hospital and take snacks, so a stop off at the sm on the way. No other plans for today, just light the fire when I get back to keep the cats in the warmth they're accustomed to and me to be honest. Yesterday was fun, I'm exchanging a tip visit and some insulation for a sunday dinner and some clothing [for fabric stash] so barter in action. We didn't make it to the farm, we left at just before rush hour and I didn't fancy braving rush hour around here, it'd have taken me an hour to get home instead of twenty minutes. Shower in a minute then up and at 'em.
Nanny, stay safe , don't go out...not that I would say you're clumsy or anything, youve said it enough before Gers, I love a good pub quiz, I am envious, hope the snow holds off for your drive back! Coxy, fat in pasta? Who is making this stuff? I've been watching Pasta Grannies nd have a hankering to make my own now..Get to the cafe!! [when it's not snowing...] bella, that's interesting, jellied eels as a side dish...I'm loving the reminiscences..iris, enjoy your knit and natter...Ruby, happy new ipad then! Rosy, it's alwys the way with insurance..Hope no one hits the hire one...snoozer, happy haircut day...Stay safe all, warm blankets prescribed...
Keeping to my promise to get back to everyday posting!
Went to my knitting group this morning, so another step in the right direction......lift to 2nd floor was broken so I had to hop up the stairs, leaving my rollator under the stairs in the company of a young man who was mitching( skiving off school) as his class had a test he hadn't studied for!
Got some lovely salmon in the supermarket which we had for dinner with baked potatoes and stir fried veg.....lovely.
Sleep well all and hopefully avoid the white stuff!!
