Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was roast chicken portions, new potatoes, veg and gravy - delicious it was too. Tonight may be gammon - as I have a gammon joint in the fridge and I will have time later to get it cooked etc.
Work was busy again yesterday today I'm working at the other office and that looks quite busy but should have a colleague with me so not so bad and it's only half a day.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all. Thanks for starting us off nmlc. After a lovely day with my nephew yesterday I came back to my hotel for a wee snooze. 😊 By 5.30pm my niece had arrived so we all (four adults and two children) went for a quick meal at the nearby Harvester. It was truly awful! Won't be doing that again. First low point was that they didn't have any sparkling water at all, things didn't get better.Anyway, the rest of the evening was good as the adults went onto the pub quiz. High point of that was that our team won by one point. 😀 I really enjoyed meeting the others and being welcomed by them.
Today we are grouping for lunch before deciding on a plan. I'm changing hotels for the final night here. No snow here though there's still time.Hugs all round. Happy Wednesday to all.13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC - brr it's a raw start. No snow yet but it's forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
I'm up and at 'em extra early this morning as I have an Ocado delivery due 7.30 - 8.30. It's earlier than normal but being a nip curran' I am taking advantage of the 99p delivery charge. I wanted tomorrow but at £4.99 it was no contest! It's just the usual f, v and dairy and some bread stuff and again I managed to avoid frozen stuff until stocks out there drop further.
It's bus trip day so we are hoping we don't get snowed in anywhere! I think we are back to Skipton again today as it's a good few weeks since we were there. Maybe a few hardy stallholders will be setting up. I am hoping the sweetie man will be there as my tin is looking a bit depleted. A wine 'n dine lunch will be involved too but if the snow starts early we may have to cut it short.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and getting better. Well done to COXY that's an amazing total. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
We have snow! I won't be going into the London office today as there are bound to be train delays and tbh I can work just as well, and longer hours from home. DH is away to Birmingham this evening for a couple of days. He will drive and hopefully the roads will have been gritted and much used by then!
Enjoy your bus trip out @TravellingAbuela and hope you don't get stranded!
Well done on your quiz win @Gers!
Dinner tonight is a quick SW prawn and chilli pasta. I picked up some tricolore pasta in Aldi. More expensive than white or wholemeal but less fat content. Will give it a whirl. Another one who has never had proper pie n mash despite there being a cafe in our town!
You're doing so well @Nelski given all you've been through. How is your DMum doing now and are you able to get in to see her?
Hope little one continues to improve @dp1 x
Hugs to @Chrisca50 and hope your eye is improving and not too painful x
Hope your birthday was enjoyable @RedRuby1231 and that you enjoyed the lamb mmmmm
Good to see you posting @meanmarie x
Have a good day everyone and keep warm and safe.

We are forecast rain for the rest of the day so hopefully all washed away by tomorrow and the temps are above freezing . You all dont know what you are missing with pie mash and liquor i dont have jellied eels with mine but we used to when i was a baby my mum used to give me the jelly from the eels doubt your allowed to do that now though if we have a family wedding on dads side then there is always a bowl of jellied eels at the buffet its an east end thing .

Morning all. Eye still a bit gritty and misty but they say after 3 days (I'm on day 2) your vision starts to clear.Lots of the white stuff here in Kent so am glad I don't have to try to slip and slide into work!@bellabella I can remember when I was little my mum taking me into our local pie and mash shop and out the back you could get eels where they would chop them up for you while they were still alive!! At least they were fresh but such a cruel thing to do but it seemed to be a nornal thing then! Not sure what to have for dinner tonight, will have a look later.Stay safe and warm everyone x12

Morning all
Thank you all for the Birthday wishes I had a really lovely day and was very spoilt 😀 my dd sister and mum all clubbed together and bought me an iPad which I am using now, my laptop died a while ago and I have been using my phone, this is so much easier to use and see things on ! The lovely Nels sent me a lily plant which I will put out in the garden once its warmer, a very lovely day all round.
We have the smallest bit of snow this morning just a coating on the roof tops really, I would have loved a bit more but we rarely get it being so far south.
Dinner tonight will be bacon egg and chips nice and easy, I have put a wash on this morning but it will have to be hung indoors.
Lovely to see Marie posting hope you are keeping well xx
Have good days all and stay safe in the snow and cold xx13 -
Morning all, forgot to post yesterday. More rain than snow here, I guess being near the sea keeps it away.
sorry I missed birthdays and trips away, but hope a good time was had by all.

Morning all, pretty chilly here but no snow as yet.It was a beautiful clear day yesterday but looks more overcast. No slipping and sliding if you have the white stuff! The last lot put paid to DHs van when someone skidded and crashed into where it was parked. He is getting very stressed trying to find a replacement as they are all a lot dearer than the payout, and the hire van goes back on Friday. At £300 a week it's not an option to keep it longerGlad you had a nice birthday RR, and you are enjoying your trip Gers ( apart from last nights meal )I've got out a beef stroganoff from the butcher, it'll be quick to do once we get home from taking DGS to DS2s after school.TA I'm trying hard to resist having an O delivery this week as my smart delivery pass has run out now, but 99p isn't bad.Right off for another coffee, have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hi everyone,
Meanmarie, good to see you posting, I hope your health problems are improving.
We have a few flakes falling but I doubt it will stick. The family still haven't returned and I'm hoping they don't today in case it snows heavily on their route.
I have a hair appointment this morning, my reminder says 10.15 but I have 12.00 on my calendar. I'd prefer earlier so I shall go then and I'm sure she'll be able to fit me in, I only want a light trim because she cut it so short last time.
Have a good day.11
