Sky Q recordings not stacking correctly - how widespread is it?

There has been an ongoing problem with SKY Q . 
It appears to be related to the metadata supplied by broadcasters and Sky's inability to make it work like it should.  We have got so frustrated with it that we are 99% certain to cancel SKY when our contract ends at the end of March.  There is a long discussion thread on the Sky customer forum but it is hard to ascertain how widespread the problem is. 
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has experienced the problem of programmes showing up under the "other" tab rather than a series number.
I'm convinced SKY don't care because they want everyone to move to Glass or Stream so they can bin satellite and recording altogether.

We seem to randomly get an odd episode of a series showing under 'other' - confusing and  a little frustrating but for me not enough to cancel - there's not much option if it's a Sky only programme and you wan to record it I guess

Can't say I have seen it happen on ours.

If you cancel Sky you will lose access to all recordings you have ever made, make sure you have watched everything

Going to Virgin - everything apart from Sky Atlantic

We recently migrated from the old style Sky+ to Sky Q and we hate the new interface. Episodes do go missing, and also series linked items seem to pull the same episodes from different channels so duplicates are recorded. We have a 1TB box and because it's linked to a multiroom box in another room our storage reached 80%+ in only a couple of weeks. Our old style boxes that worked independently of each other thus gave us double the storage and a much cleaner interface. 

Can't stand the thumbnail pics of the recordings. Much preferred the listings of the old system.
