Not wanting to vent as such, but its the nearest place I can find to post! (please move if not in correct place)
Just wanting quick advice,
does anyone know email addresses for the customer services of Morrisons and Ikea?
I have recently had faulty goods from both companies, and had no joy when returning the goods to the shops, so I thought if I could photo the item and add it to an email, I might get a better response from 'head office customer services'
Neither are really really expensive items, so dont want to go down the 'trading standards' route as it would not be worth the time and effort, but a quick email and photo attachment is worth a try.
I have been on the web sites for both companies, neither are showing any central customer services contact email, or telephone number.

The thing about Morrisons.. In their world, they are Morrisons, therefore they are right. I used to work for them and so did my mother. I was in admin, but she dealt with a lot of the customer complaints they get (head of QC and technical departments). More often than not she couldn't progress them to the proper satisfaction of the customer because Morrisons refuse to entertain the idea that they might have a responsibility to the consumer.
I sincerely doubt that an email will wake them up and make them do anything. Sorry to be pessimistic, it's just based on the experience of someone who used to be responsible for trying to sort these things out within the company...0 -

I'll ask my mum when she finishes work (not at Morrisons anymore, thankfully), who or which department is best to contact. I know that their customer service reps who are the first point of contact usually do everything to put the customer off pursuing it, but there are a couple of intermediary levels between them and the "head office" (who don't even reply to complaints from their higher managerial staff).
The one case of consumer victory I heard about when I was there was when a woman refused to leave the shop and gave them the option of calling the police to remove her. She got a refund, but no apology or compensation.0 -
I have been dealing with Ikea Customer service and I have to say that they are quite good
the email address is Customer.Service@memo.ikea.comOnly two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help?

Sorry to jump onto this thread but I thought it would be better than starting a new thread for some small point.
Purchased an item from Ikea yesterday and got home to find 1 of the special plastic screws were missing, going to ring them today, any idea what they will do? Will they send the item in the post & how long will it take?
Thanks.I hate migraines.0 -

not sure if its the same at all ikeas, but at the one I go to they have shelves of little boxes behind the customer services desk with different types of fixings, if your pack is missing some they just hand them to you. It might be worth a try phoning if you live a distance away, if its a kind assistant that answers they might post it to you, worth a try!0 -

My aunt had something similar, and bought a chair from ikea as they knew they'd be passing an Ikea store on the way back from visiting someone (i.e. MILES away!). When they went to assemble it, they realised the holes for one side of the chair were drilled in the wrong side (i.e. they had two left hand side bits). They phoned Ikea, who were really rude on the phone, refused to help, refused to put a supervisor on the phone, and told them to bring it back to the store, and no they wouldn't refund the petrol.
Apparently it's my aunt's fault for not emptying the (huge) box onto the Ikea floor and checking all the holes are in the correct place!
If she ever goes near an Ikea store again, she'll be emptying out all the boxes onto the floor, as advised by the rude person on the phone!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
