Just go to the forum home page by clicking the (breadcrumb) link at the bottom of any page and it will take you there. On that page near the top are some "sticky" threads. Look for one that has the word "Newbie" in it.

The sticky Announcement for NEWBIES is at the top of the page where you clicked on the Create Post button. It's called a sticky because it is always stuck near the top of the main forum page.
Since yours is a lease car, you will want to use one of the edna basher hire/lease vehicle appeal letters, making sure you do not reveal the driver's identity. This assumes the lease company passed the hirer/lessee details to PE, and the hirer/lessee has received a Notice to Hirer (NTH) in their own name.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2 -
Thank you both. In my case I have a longterm personal lease from Volkswagen Financial Services. They have passed my name to Parking Eye. Parking Eye has sent me a Parking Charge Notice to my name. The Newbie thread I've found I think assumes lease cars are short term hire or fleet. I'm not obviously the registered keeper but it's a personal lease in my name. So I guess that's a slightly different position. Therefore the templates don't seem to quite fit. I will keep digging.0

One of the templates below the standard blue text appeal, written by @Edna_Basher will suit your circumstances, if not just adapt one.1

I am struggling to find the right place to look. Are you referring to this thread?
**NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!
If so, I see a standard template in blue text near the top but no templates below. I do see three threads on lease car issues but none seems to relate to a Personal Lease.
Apologies, I don't wish to waste anyone's time but I'm not sure I'm in the right place.0 -
You are reading the right thread and have found the blue text template.
Scroll down until you see...
...and now read on.
'Personal Lease' is the same as any other lease.2 -
I don't know why you think it is different. The lease firm got the first NTK and gave your details as lessee, then you've been sent a non-compliant NTH.
Same as all leased car cases. Easy to win! JUST DO NOT TICK 'DRIVER' ON THE APPEALS PAGE.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top of this/any page where it says:

Irrespective of whose name is on the lease contract, the lease company cannot possibly know who was driving unless one of their employees who knows you personally was present at the time of the alleged event, or somebody is daft enough to tell them.
Therefore the only thing they can tell ParkingEye is the name and address of the hirer/lessee, and therefore the only thing ParkingEye can send the hirer/lessee is a NTH, which will not be PoFA compliant, and therefore incapable of holding the hirer/lessee liable.
You need to read and understand the PoFA, especially paragraphs 13 and 14 so you understand why it isn't PoFA compliant.
As far as the law, and the PoFA are concerned, the driver, (day to day) keeper, registered keeper, owner, and hirer/lessee are all different people.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks3 -
Thank you for this. I have scoured the threads but unfortunately I cannot find any threads or templates relating to my question. There are 1. threads regarding late sending of PCNs, 2. threads relating to specific parking companies, 2. threads about Notice to Hirers, and 4. threads for lease companies, but none seems to address the issue as I understand it. Therefore, I am struggling to find the 'hook' that I might use since VW has passed on my name as in charge of the vehicle to Parking Eye and Parking Eye has sent me the PCN directly as an individual. I realise this forum is not for individual solutions but perhaps someone may have seen a relevant thread and can point me to the right place

Of course it is for individual solutions.
Did you find the NEWBIE sticky **NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!
Did you click on it and scroll to the top and then.......?
Did you scroll down to the blue text appeal?
Did you continue to scroll down until you found three links to lease/company car?
Did one of them mention lease cars?2
