VCS - Court claim - Stopping in a zone where stopping is prohibited

I'm happy to report that my case has been dropped by VCS by request of the Leeds Bradford Airport.

Following the submission of the N180 form I contacted LBA to try and establish when the signs were installed to see if I could use this in my case. The support team took interest in my query and asked why I was interested in this. After explaining my situation they requested the PCN number so they could review the footage themselves. Following this review they confirmed that the signs were installed after my visit and requested VCS to drop the case.

I had previously complained to LBA regarding the PCN but it fell on death ears. It's clearly never too late to appeal directly to the land owner, even if they've rejected your requests before. I am thankful for the suggestion to get in touch again, as if I hadn't then it may never have been dropped.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all of the forum users who helped with my specific case, and who have also contributed to the range of resources across this forum. Without these, and your help, I wouldn't have been able to take it as far as I did and ultimately get the rightful outcome.

If there's any additional actions I can take or information I can share about my situation that would be useful, then please let me know.

Could you tell us the email of that 'support team' at Leeds Bradford Airport and the date of your event and the date they say the signs were added, and exactly which signs were added exactly where?

We need you - as a genuine PPC victim of aggression, sharp practice and an 'extortion' attempt to add £70 - to respond robustly to the Public Consultation on the level of parking charges and banning of the false added DRA 'fee' that too many honest motorists currently fall victim to.

For Leeds Bradford Airport the support query was raised via their online contact form: https://www.leedsbradfordairport.co.uk/contact.

The direct email is, customercare@lba.co.uk. I'm not sure they'd respond without a contact request being raised via the form  first.

The dates given about the sign was pretty vague.

The Mid Stay 2 car park was added to the airport in Summer 2022, however the signs for the car park were not installed yet by the date of my PCN, which was the 14th August. I was given no actual date of when they were installed.

The signs they have installed since are two large green signs at the entranceway to the car park, and relevant junction on Whitehouse Lane. The signs are admittedly hard to miss now.

I have bookmarked those threads and turned on email notifications. I will be more than happy to help fight when the time comes. Once again, thanks for all the support.
