[Booking.com] Waiting over three months for the flight refund

Hi

I had booked flights to Dubai with Booking.com for 6 travellers. Flying on 19th December 2022.
Well before the flight, on 1st December 2022, I asked them to cancel for two of the travellers, which they confirmed
It's been three months, and I have called them multiple time, but they are just saying they haven't received the refund from Emirates,
nor they can tell me when would I get the refund. Also, they are not even able to confirm the amount. Just asking me to wait.
Feel very frustrated & helpless!! Anybody else had the similar experience with Booking.com?

Thanks
P

    1. Are you sure the ticket seller was booking.com and not gotogate.com?
    2. Did the fare conditions of the tickets permit a refund?  Most online ticket sellers are selling the cheapest most restrictive tickets.  An Emirates Saver fare in Economy has a £200 per sector cancellation penalty. Add on top any fees from booking.com/gotogate.com and there might not be much if any to return.

    Hi Westin

    Thanks for your reply

    1) Yes I booked it online on Booking.com and still see that in my login
    2) Paid 6k for 6 of us, around 1k per ticket. Booking.com agent gave me a rough idea that I should see ~900 in refund after all deduction but can't confirm the amount of tell the duration it'd take

If you have your Emirates e-ticket you should be able to find what the fare class was (Economy Saver, Economy Flex etc) and from there look at the cancellation/refunds costs/penalty.

I wasn't aware that booking.com confirmed flights (Go2Gate is owned by them and used to fulfill all the flight arrangements). If you look on the respective booking site it should give you an idea of their fees to process a flight cancellation.
