Here in the UK, we love nothing more than a comforting pie. Whether you prefer sweet or savoury, there's no denying that we're a nation of pie lovers. In fact, we have a full week dedicated to these pastry delights. Every year, the first week of March is British Pie Week, which this year falls on 6th–12th March.

There's no feeling like tucking into a home baked pie, lovingly crafted and decorated with your own personal twist. So, we thought what better way to celebrate National Pie Week than with a pie baking competition? We've pulled together three delicious recipes: one sweet, one savoury, and one vegan option. All you have to do is bake one and send us a photo — you can enjoy the pie all to yourself! You'll be judged on presentation and creativity, so feel free to add your own unique spin. And if you win, you’ll receive a stunning new set of Denby ovenware to bake and serve your next creation!

We'll judge the pies based on presentation and creativity, and one lucky winner will receive a Denby bundle complete with an oven dish, 4 ramekins, and a cast iron dish of their choosing.*

Our Denby cookware and oven to tableware is made from the highest-quality materials designed to last a lifetime, so you'll be baking with them for years to come. Each piece is oven safe up to 220°C (250°C for cast iron) and our ceramics are also dishwasher and microwave safe for total convenience. All you have to do is bake one of the pie recipes below and send us a photo to be in with a chance of winning.

how to enter

To be in with a chance of winning our ovenware bundle, simply send a photo of your pie to competitions@denby.co.uk. Entries will be judged on decoration and presentation, including the pie's design and any tablescaping, so be sure to get creative — we eat with our eyes first after all! The competition will be open from the 6th–12th March. Judging will take place in the two weeks after the deadline and the winner will be announced on Monday the 27th of March. Good luck!
