In May i fly to Zurich and then on by train to Lake Thun whilst there potentially take train up the Jungfrau, cable cares etc and river trips on the lake to Thun and Interlaken. My hotel provide a free local bus pass apparently is there a very cost efficient way for my wife and i to get our Zurich return travel and any subsequent journeys to Jungfrau etc?
It pays to challenge

A wonderful part of the world
There is a half price rail card for Zurich to Thun, cable cars , buses. Jungfrau is a must do but I don't think the rail card appliesNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
There are numerous Swiss passes available which cover a variety of travel options. Check out Swiss Travel sites.1

Hi, I went to Interlaken and Wilderswil on a school trip quite a while ago - when I was 15. Absolutely fabulous! We went on the train up the Jungfrau and the sun shining on the snow was blinding. Thank goodness we had our shades with us. After that we went on to Venice. Oh what a school I went to - only a state school though. What an experience for a wee lassy. (Not Scottish but my sister-in-law is).
Oh I'm really very sorry I can't answer your question but I was drawn in by your heading. . . hope you have a fabulous trip - but I know you will! Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Different regions in Germany have different deals on the trains. In one region we were in the first passenger travelled at full rate and any subsequent passenger travelled for 2 Euros. Have a trawl through the regional trains and buses and see what is available.Mags - who loves shopping0
