My car tax is due on April 1st - this year (and future years) it will be free (PIP high rate mobility)
I have always received the paperwork (V11)  to do it online within the first 2 or 3 days of the month
But we are now, almost a week in to March with no V11
Is this down to the RM delivery or DVSA delays ?
Either way - How do I do this without a V11 ?
I have googled and found
This implies that I need a V62 - but the V62 does not have the ability to excempt me from paying
i am aware that I cannot do it on-line and must change the cars tax class to disabled at a PO
But still need the paperwork to take with me to the PO
I am stuck - don't know what to do

Are you not the registered keeper?

You can tax your vehicle without a V11 reminder letter using a:

    • V5C registration certificate (logbook) in your name if you’re the current keeper
    https://www.disabledmotoring.org/motoring/road-tax-exemption?gclid=CjwKCAiAu5agBhBzEiwAdiR5tDHPc9nSUp8fqrnxJeq63mUFPTGgiefgDIgGawifVHuUc0xfEtTqiRoCL98QAvD_BwE

If you are buying a vehicle from a private seller or changing your tax status on your existing vehicle then you can only do that at a Post Office branch that deals with vehicle tax.

What to take to the Post Office

    You need to take:

    • the (V5C) registration certificate (log book) in your name, or a new keeper supplement (V5C/2) if you’ve just bought the vehicle
    • an MOT certificate that’s valid when the tax starts
    • Certificate of Entitlement
    • Insurance Certificate for vehicles registered in Northern Ireland

If you don’t have the V5C or V5C/2, download and fill in an Application a vehicle registration certificate V62 form (download here). Take it to the Post Office with the £25 fee.

Once this has been done your vehicle will then be in the Disabled Taxation Class

I am the registered owner and keeper
This doesn't explain why I haven't received the reminder yet
Do I not need to take my Insurance certificate then ?- I don't live in N Ireland
I have the V5, Will have MOT (being done a week earlier) and certificate of entitlement

The insurance certificate hasn't been needed for about ten years.

The last working day was the 3rd of March so less than halfway through the first week of March.  No doubt it will be with you in the next week or so.  Patience.

No doubt it would be  posted second class which Royal Mail will not be giving priority to.

Second class can take up 10 days to arrive.

Never used a V11, my car is registered disabled.
I renewed my car tax online on the 1st of December, for the 1st of January.
The first time it needed to be registered as disabled, I went to the post office with Log book, Insurance and PiP certificate.

Have you changed address in the last year and forgotten to update the vehicle's Registration Document(V5c) with your new address?

    V11 still not arrived
I wonder what else has been "lost in the post"  by the Royal mail?
