Morning Everyone
Thanks for the start nmlc
Damp and miserable out there atm
Hope everyone has a good day9 -
Hi everyone,
We're still very quiet here and also miserable as there are family things going on that are very worrying. I can't wait for Laura and Brian to get back so that I can have some baby and toddler cuddles. It will be Wednesday at the earliest before they get home though, I don't think Laura can wait either, she is coping with the two children while Brian does jobs around the property. Part of the house was a pub (like a hobby pub really), it closed at first lockdown and wasn't viable but was part of the reason L & B got the property at a very good price. They've now got change of use so have been doing up the room to incorporate it into the house as a games room.
I'm making a sourdough loaf to a new recipe, it's just on the last prove now, we'll see how it works. I'm also doing a bit more sorting before the new cleaner starts tomorrow.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all, cold & rainy here
not done much raining at all though recently so s'pose I can't complain. Sorry you've got a bad cold again Mehefin.
Been doing some admin for Dh,paying business bills etc. Got a bit chilly sat at the table, might need an hours boost shortly.Yesterdays tea of the MnS bavette steak was good, very tender in the AFryer grill. It's ok as a treat now and then and cheaper than other kinds of steak. They had roasted potatoes with theirs, + roast veg. While the oven was on I filled it with a tray of my low carb crackers & managed to burn the ones at the back - out of practise with the oven ! Last of the mince pies from the freezer with ice cream. Salt & pepper Chicken skewers from the butchers tonight, not sure what with yet.DS2 called with DGS on the way back to his DMs as he'd left his school bag in our car. He had a giggle trying to get his football past me, usually succeeding but says I'm not bad for an oldie! I'll take thatHad a tidy round so might have a few minutes with my book after lunch. I might make some soup as it's chilly. I have sweet potatoes to use up. Or broccoli & stilton.Great to see you posting Nels, careful how you go with the bin stuff etc.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hallelujah, we have been told we can collect the car this afternoon. It's been a bit of a mission with Honda customer liaison. We can't praise the garages highly enough but the central services haven't been very helpful. They wanted to charge us over £1000 to transfer it from the garage in Wales to the local dealer we bought it off. Then we had problems with them not extending the car hire on the Fiesta we were given. It took a couple of kickings from the manager of the local dealership who is a very no nonsense American woman to bring them up to scratch.
We researched our rights and looked at what went wrong with the car and we're happy with a repair atm but if anything else goes wrong I think we will be asking for a replacement.11 -
Snoozer that's awful customer service, good for the local dealership kicking up a fuss.

Hello everyone
Late one from me - its been a lovely sunny day here and not as cold as expected. The gritter has been out though as it's forecast to be freezing overnight.
Snoozer - there's nothing like a hug from a little one to make things better - little one gives lovely hugs and she's very generous with them!
She was very happy to get back to nursery today - her tummy seems to be ok again, fingers crossed.
Nelski - good to see you back - take care x
I've just had tea and I've some admin stuff to do on laptop. Hope everyone has had a good day x10 -
