Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was beef stew and dumplings, new potatoes and veg. We had a busy day with several jobs we needed to get done, so opted for a slow cooker stew that I could just throw everything into the slow cooker and leave whilst we got on with what needed doing.
Back to work this morning, we'll see what today brings.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, sounds like you had a busy weekend.
Damp and miserable out there but no frost or snow. It was meant to be sunny yesterday but it rained on an off from about 11, the washing had to be dried inside.
Went for all the birthday cards and a bit of other shopping then had a lazy afternoon, just what Sundays are for.
Good luck for today Chrisca50, hope everything goes well.
Hope you've rested well for the rest of your journey Gers.
Work today and a swim tonight.
Happy Monday, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Minus 1 but no frost or snow (yet!) Will see what's thrown at us later.
Yesterday was even more slothful than the usual Sunday so I must tackle a few jobs today I suppose! The noisy workmen were back at the w/e but only for the neighbour this time. It didn't stop them messing up the patio I swept last w/e when they made a mess though. Grr I might leave it a few days as I'm not sure if they are due back again. The patio looks bad enough as it is after the winter without being full of rubbish as well!
I hope all goes well for Chrisca. I'm another who can't bear the thought of my eyes getting messed about with. Safe second leg of your journey down GERS. Have a good day if you can everyone else with thoughts of the poorlies, getting better or MIA. NELS thoughts with you. Take care all be safe xx

Morning all, had a lovely relaxing time in Cornwall, amazing sunny weather all week. Stopped off to se family on the way home for a day or so.
For anyone venturing to Cornwall, there is something in the water there that shrinks your clothes...... off to the supermarket today for a lot of fruit and very little else I think.
Back on the OS today.
Haven't been reading along, as tried to have a bit of a digital detox,so hope everyone OK
Have a good day allCarolbee13 -
Morning all.Had my 'unlimited breakfast' only limited by the coffee machine not working. 😀 Bed was as comfortable as promised and shower was very good too. I intend to lounge around a bit longer to wait for the rush hour to pass by. I'm in no hurry again.Welcome back Carolbee and thanks for the warning about the dangers of Cornwall. 😱
Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Monday to all.13 -
Morning all
Very cold here but no frost, I have put the heating on to warm the house through before my guests arrive, two ladies coming today and we might go for a mooch around the local historic town and have lunch out somewhere, but will see what they fancy doing.
Dinner tonight will be chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella with roasted veg cous cous, I did the roasted veg yesterday while the oven was on so just the chicken to do later.
Nels how lovely to see you posting 😀 sending much love to you xx
Hood luck for today Chrisca xxx

Morning from mehefinland.
Been a while since I posted but Im still lurking!!
Been a funny week. Mrs M's burpday last week so she took leave and as usual ended up with stinking cold which she has generously passed on to me.
As she was feeling yuk we decided on a meal deal from mr t . Great. then the desert was not available but they did not substitute. Grrr!
Then ..wait for it....
a pack of heart shaped potato croquettes mysteriously appeared on the bill and delivered. Nothing we ordered so can only assume the picker had an off day! The old saying about paying peanuts etc etc seemed apt.
Chrisca-its brilliant- don't lookback
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning
Cold here today so heating on for a while. Wanted a shower but a kind neighbour had switched off the pump whilst I was away so I was met with a pathetic drizzle of cold water. Back on again so that will happen tomorrow I guess.
Good sloth day yesterday and nearly caught up with my Love Island episodes (I know I know) Another cringey favourite of mine starts tonight, Married at First Sight! I love a bit of TV trash. Washing to do today along with some bin runs. Takes a long time now but has to be done so will crack on slowly but surely
Have a fine Monday everyone14 -
Morning all. I have an opticians appointment today to see if they can sort me out properly, I'm crossing my fingers, fourth time lucky. Apart from that and the blanket, today is a day of who knows what might happen? [It's usually nothing much so don't get excited...] Oh and a lady is coming to fetch some sci fi books to read. This could be the start fo a beautiful decluttering helper relationship. I do have many more books and am loath to get rid because I like the physical copies but if necessary, I'd like to find them a nice home. I had a chat with someone who had a book stall in the market once, they were the type that bought back books when you'd read them. They told me that there was only one fiction type of customer who never brought the books back to sell again and that was the sci fi fantasy lovers, and it was certainly true in my case. Now, if someone can point me in the direction of a David Gemmell clone, I will happily read away [ I've already tried most heroic fantasy writers and very few match up]Nels, everyone has guilty pleasures, mine mostly revolve around food [ or a new life in the sun / chateau diy type programmes ] so no judgement here
mehefin, maybe it was a gesture for future romance....[eyebrow wiggling going on?] carolbee, as above, the water does that in a lot of places...now your mission is to find one where it doesn't..
Have as good a day as you can all....

Morning all, I'm a bit late but we have been over to check the van and all is good. Not so my mobile phone though, it had an update but now I don't know what's going on with it 😟 I've got my tech guy looking at it and even he's flummoxed.
Today it's more pottering about and also cleaning the air fryer basket which I soaked overnight with hot water and a dw tablet, don't know if it will work but I'm giving it a try. The bins need going out too but that will be later this afternoon.
Crisca good luck for today, I'm sure you'll be fine.
Nels lovely to see you posting again, take things easy now.
Take care and hugs to all
