Help with Virgin Money M plus account for switch

Hi All
I have 4 M plus current accounts & savers with Virgin Money.
Two of them are used extensively - for expenses & as nominated accounts for savings accounts elsewhere.
Accounts are 3 years old, back when it was allowed to open multiple current accounts. I am aware rules have changed since 18 Feb 2022.

Can I use the least used M plus current account as a sacrificial account to switch to either RBS or Lloyds bank, without running the risk of loosing my other Mplus current accounts?

I have read through MSE switch guide. It does not specifically mention switching out using one of the multiple current accounts with the same bank.

Help please.

Your personal experiences, Links, T&Cs pdfs are very welcome.

Thanks

I don't see any risk here.

That's what many people do in practice - opening a second account with the bank they already have an account with and then switching it.

As long as the least used or selected M Plus account meets the criteria of the target bank (e.g. 2 DDs) you should be fine with no impact on the other M Plus accounts.

Nope, if you only select the least used current account then your other ones shouldn’t ne affected. However, the Virgin Money M Plus current accounts are great for a free current/savings account, and seen as you can’t open more, I’d consider if it was better to open a current account with a soft credit check provider like Starling and then switch that. You never know what the future can hold, these might come in handy!
