Getting cash refund from BA for vouchers

Hello,
I have BA vouchers (worth approx. £320) that are due to expire in September 2023. These were issued in the pandemic. We are unable to use them ahead of the expiry date. I realise this means just making a booking (for example to travel in 2024) or booking and travelling. I requested a refund from BA and received this recent response:
Dear Customer,
You recently applied for a refund on your eVoucher.
We are currently offering refunds to customers who were due to travel with us between 9 March and 19 November 2020 on a flight that was cancelled, and who opted for an eVoucher. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund you as your flight operated.
You can still spend your eVoucher on <link to BA website>to pay or part pay for flights that are completed by 30 September 2023.

So BA operated the flight but we did not travel on it (and retained the vouchers).
Am I able to get the cash refund?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

If you had a non-refundable ticket and the flight operated then vouchers were a good result as you would only have been due a refund of some taxes. As it says with these vouchers travel must be completed by September 23 (not just booked)1

You need to book something before September, otherwise you will lose the value of the vouchers. Rumour on frequent flyer websites is that the vouchers won't be extended.
evouchers can be used for you to book flights for anyone, not just yourself.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
