A trick for accessing Zopa's interest when needed

Zopa, which currently offers the top rate for easy access which is open to everyone, is paying the interest monthly.
I noticed that the following trick can give one access to the accrued interest in the middle of the month.
Simply create a pot other than the primary and put the money into it.
Then, when you need to access the interest you can close this pot and have it's balance + interest transferred to the primary pot, without having to wait till the end of the month.
This doesn't apply to notice pots until they become accessible.

Hardly a trick. It's standard with all conventional savings accounts!0

I'd love to know how you do something similar with Chip.wiseonesomeofthetime said:Hardly a trick. It's standard with all conventional savings accounts!0 -
It's a lot more faff closing (and opening) a regular savings account than a Zopa pot.wiseonesomeofthetime said:Hardly a trick. It's standard with all conventional savings accounts!0 -
