ESA ending

Hi I have been on contribution based ESA for about 10 months now. I was assessed as LCW did an MR and same result.
My ESA is due to end in May. Hubby earns just over the allowed income to claim UC.
Is there anything I can claim I know about PIP and am planning on applying for that but I just wondered if there was anything else I can claim.
Thanks in advance

UC has replaced all the old legacy benefits so there's nothing else you can claim.

Can you still appeal to the tribunal service.tab1967 said:Hi I have been on contribution based ESA for about 10 months now. I was assessed as LCW did an MR and same result.

You need to look at the Support Group descriptor and see which you think applies to you.

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
Was there a reason you didn't go further than a MR?tab1967 said:Hi I have been on contribution based ESA for about 10 months now. I was assessed as LCW did an MR and same result.

No I just didn't think it would change anything, I can still appeal as it's only been 2 weeks since I got the letter. But it asks for more evidence and I don't have any, I have arthritis but I also have a hidden illness that is very controversial so getting a doctor to say it's what I have is extremely difficult.HillStreetBlues said:

The majority of appeals are successful. They are independent of DWP. However you need to understand how you would qualify. You don’t need more evidence but you need to be clear about how your health impacts you and see how these difficulties fall into the relevant descriptors, you only have to meet any one of the Support Group descriptors.tab1967 said:

I appealed when I was in WRAG to be put into the Support Group.tab1967 said:No I just didn't think it would change anything, I can still appeal as it's only been 2 weeks since I got the letter. I didn't supply any more evidence, in fact I had little paper evidence, but I knew under what criteria I met.
I won my appeal the it was stated
"In reaching its decision the tribunal placed particular reliance upon the oral evidence of the appellant"
So don't be put off by having a hidden illness, but as calcotti has stated do read the relevant descriptors, if you feel any of those apply to you, then do appeal.

Just want to say thank you to everyone, I appealed and have received a letter saying I am being put in the support group.recent wins-3 x anchor, a bag of skittles, 50 spud shillings, A tassimo mug :T5
