British Gas Home Care

I had a message on my account that my Home Care was due for renewal and the money would be taken using my direct debit Energy details.  I have never had Home Care with British Gas.  I did the live chat and was passed on to about 6 agents, the last one saying I did not have Home Care and to ignore the message.  I viewed my account again today and the message was still there so I did the live chat again and this time was told it was an error message that they would be correcting.  I haven't seen that anyone else has had this problem though.  Very strange.

When I originally joined British Gas on a fixed rate , it included Homecare (admittedly this was before all the challenges with energy prices)  - is it possible this could be the same for you and you didnt know you had it included?

    Just a thought.

    Cheers.

I was passed on to British Gas when my supplier went bust.  I did not have Homecare included.  I have an all electric flat and electric boilers can't be in an insurance plan, only gas boilers
