I have found gmail very reliable.

The Android app allows you to add hotmail/yahoo/outlook addresses and switch between those in just that one app.

Although my main email provider is paid-for I have addresses with several of the free providers, my current favourite is gmx.com.

Another vote for GMX.......I've used it for years, it picks up all my other emails as well.

I hate gmail with a vengence - so very awkward and annoys me no end.  Granted this is after 20 years or so of using hotmail/outlook both at home and at work.  Thankfully work will be switching from gmail to hotmail soon so I'm quite pleased.

What is GMXs business model? Do they also offer a paid for service?

If not, what is keeping them going?

    DOH! Thanks.

I was looking on their website.
Can't imagine why they don't push the advertising supported bit 😉

So same business model as (albeit much smaller than) GMail and Outlook.com/Hotmail.
