Problem with FB Messenger ( I use Linux)

For the last week Ive been unable to view my messenger posts
All my contacts are there with their photos and I can see with green spot when they are online, but when I try to see the messages nothing happens
I would appreciate any advice

Have you tried disabling any add-ons

Have you tried clearing cookies and site data? Otherwise try chromium/opera/microsoft edge(yeah there is a linux version)
