I tried AldiLidl's Penguin-equivalent "Seal" bar and they were awfully sweet; I probably wouldn't buy again.

Morrisons' Fine Green Ginger Wine £3.75 ... contains real ginger and tastes almost as good as Crabbies (the clue is the crusty deposit around the rim). Other supermarket own brands taste like dishwater.

It is impossible to get Crabbies or Stones Special Reserve in my local towns, just Stones which is horrible IMHO.

I used to buy a 4 pack of Iceland cone ice creams for 99p when I took DD and her two friends to the local cinema.

I take a small paper bag of homemade plain popcorn now.
  • Aldi tomato ketchup! Where as before I would never buy store brand ketchup, or any other brand apart from Heinz ketchup, the Aldi ketchup is impossible to tell the difference.
My family turned their nose up to the Aldi ketchup, so I put it in a Heinz bottle. Now they happily use it, saying how it's worth paying more for ketchup that tastes this good :D

Aldi Lacura Miracle Cream ( sadly only available as an occasional special) seems exactly the same as Elizabeth Arden's Eight hour Cream to me

I don't like it, I find it far too vinegary. Lidl Batt's is better.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
