I mean we got a mortgage broker so it's unlikely to be a problem with our application; we've been told it's do with the property and the area it's in. We don't know if they'll sell it at that price; they likely won't. It was on for about three times the amount we're offering now when we originally saw itmi-key said:

I have to be honest, if you’d offered £55k for a flat that’s £150k+ that I was selling, regardless of the reason, I’d be ignoring your offer and remarketing the flat.1

Intending to buy? You're dreaming if you think the seller will take 2/3 off the price just because thats all you can afford. They could sell for much more to an investor as a BTL.ConfusedFirstBuyer2 said:Hi,

It seems the OP thinks a seller has to sell to you for whatever you can afford and offer them ? Or because a mortgage lender won't lend on it, then the flat is worth nothing?0
