Hi all - with no surprise, I received an email today of discontinuance.

thank you all for your help with the defence and witness statement.

most annoying part is that they said they filed the discontinuance on 17th November and sent it in the post but I’ve received no letters yet. I think they were waiting to see my WS before discontinuing.

Really relevant because the reason there are delays in the work of the county court is because up to a THIRD of all small claims are parking.

Your paperwork will be great evidence.  This is about showing how parking firms abuse the court service.  There needs to be an ADR buffer pre-action, and the "debt claims" pre-action protocol.

Asking for people's income on a DEBTOR reply form is utterly inappropriate.

I think if enough people say the above sort of stuff, this Justice Committee will go and talk to the DLUHC guys I'm dealing with, and hopefully recommend a new pre-action protocol to stop the vast majority of cases even going to a claim.

Please do the Inquiry with your claim form and views.

@Coupon-mad - I will complete it! Thank you again and to everyone else who helped with my case. 

After reading how many discontinued cases, I thought it’s my luck they’ll go to the end but nope, they dropped it as expected.

To anyone reading this and fighting a case with DCBL. Do not stress. There are great people on this forum who will help with defences and WS and they will discontinue!
