Recommendations for places to visit near New Quay Wales

Hubby and I are going to spend a few days in New Quay, Wales in 3 weeks time. Obviously its March so not looking for any beach ideas. More looking for interesting places, love quaint villages and paces to mooch round that have a few shops, perhaps a walk along the prom and couple of nice cafes,  but castles and the like are a no as hubby is disabled so will have a mobility scooter.

Im really looking for ideas within about a 1hour/1hour.30 drive max from New Quay as again hubby not to good travelling longer than that. Ive looked on the map and Lake Bala looks interesting so will try that one day.

There are a lot of places on the coast but I dont want to spend time travelling to one and then find there is nothing to do but turn round and go back! Any recommendations please? Thank you.

Aberaeron is close. Not much to do but very pretty.

St David's is about 1h30 if ecclesiastical ruins and statistical anomalies are of interest

Tenby, Sandersfoot, Laugharne and Narberth are within 90mins.

Dyfed Shire Horse Farm is nearby if it's open for the season and if it's of interest.

National Botanic Gardens of Wales and Gwili Railway are near Carmarthen, about an hour away.

New Quay is a big schlep from Bala though.

Thank you. I will look into the suggestions. We will pass close to Bala on our way down so I thought we could call there on the way.. Thanks again.
