We own a Maranrz MCR611 "wireless music system" https://www.marantz.com/en-us/product/wireless-music-systems/m-cr611
We used to be very impressed with it but it uses V Tuner for internet radio and we lost all the internet Absolute stations in the new year and will soon me losing the BBC ones
I don't really want to stream from my phone as if I pop out to the shop, the music stops!
Any suggestions to enable us to keep receiving internet radio (as neither Marantz or V Tuner seem interested in helping)

Echo dot or the more expensive studio or off a pc or mac0

But that's just essentially a streaming device. All your fancy radio does is go online (somehow) and waves some credentials at the service and says I want to play Quagmire FM. And the service says here you are/.That isn't anything you can't already do yourself on your phone via mobile data by just going to (using your examples) the Absolute Radio app or BBC Sounds.1

connect your marantz to pc/phone/whatever via bluetooth and play the radio from that

But any smart speaker can probably do a better job. Or a spare old phone or tablet be more convenient.
I have a Chromecast Audios connected to my AVR and Kitchen Yamaha DAB radio amp that allow both rooms to play stuff in sync. No longer sold but still working.0 -
Chromecast Audios available s/h from CEX ( Google said Chromecast Audio would still be supported but no longer manufactured)

Echo Flex (£9.99) and suitable cable, or just bluetooth connected to the Marantz.
You would lose the display feature of the Marantz, but gain voice control.1
