Anyone had long running issues with smart meters? Ombudsman now involved. Smart meter been unresponsive for over a year. Eon attempts to resolve hopelessness most emails/comms ignored.
Ombudsman has forced an initial offer of compensation which we feel is not proportionate to the hassle phone calls stress we have had for a year+
Anyone else have experience of rejecting 1st offer and pushing for a better offer? They will presumably try and resolve for as little £££ as possible

No, but Eon Next customer service is appalling.
So do you want your smart meter replaced is this the ultimate aim?
Who made the offer of your ombudsman case was it Eon? If so then yes I have rejected an offer from the supplier within a case. All I did was put the reasons why the offer was insufficient and the ombudsman then progressed it to their decision and awarded us what asked for when rejecting Eons offer.1 -

You won't get compo for stress. You'll get a sum that matches your quantifiable losses, plus maybe £25 or £50 on a goodwill basis only.
How much was the offer? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Just to counter the above comment I recently got awarded £100 for poor customer service from Eon Next as one of the actions they had to take. This involved an email chain 26 emails long over a two month period. It sounds like yours may be similar.0
