I used to collect tarot cards, and then decided I no longer wanted them so put them on eBay, I had one pack that was no longer printed, I thought I might get lucky and get my money back they cost £20, and sold for just over £100, I was stunned.

My child's unwanted / used toys and other stuff like sleeping accessories have been sold for more than what I paid new, or close to it.

Also it's strange that this week, many of my items which have been listed for months with no bids / offers have sold, only because I also listed some other unrelated items (in the same category) which I know are popular - yet the buyers are people who have bought from me before

A neighbour who had spent years buying up stuff and doing bootsales asked for help with selling on eBay, one item was a decorative corkscrew which they paid 50p for and it sold for just shy of £800 to someone in the US.

In the past I've purchase tonne (by weight) of material that charity shops have sent away as they don't want to or can't sell and it's amazing what gets thrown, there was a lot of fodder but so many items worth £10-20 with a few worth close to the £100 mark.
