Good evening.
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I have been using iphones for the past decade but thought i'd give Android a go.
I phones seem so expensive which is why i went for a Samsung.

I looked how to transfer data from the iphone to the Samsung but, I ended up using cloud. I did see a video where a lead connecting the two phones but I looked on e bay but couldn't find anything of such. Maybe I don't know what to look for or how to describe it.

Im quite disappointed with the android as my iphone uses face recognition for every app I open, android doesn't seem to offer similar. I did work out how to find it but because I wear glasses it asks me to remove them. Not all apps allow face recognition.

Lastly is music, how the hell do I get music to the Samsung from my laptop. I always used itunes and haven't a clue about these android phones.
If I can't get any satisfaction I'll keep my iphone 11 and get rid of the Samsung.
Kind regards Jeff.

Your last line is the only one that makes any sense to me an iPhone user for ever.

There is an app in both app stores to do transfers from android to Apple and vice versa

Face recognition is more used on Android for unlocking the phone (and where supported in apps) than anything else.

Re: Data - download from the apple device to your laptop.
Plug Android in.  Copy it to there.  Depending on the phone there may be an obvious folder, if not its probably in another folder.

    Same for music.

Plug phone into computer with USB cable and allow file transfers on the phone.  Select top level folder of music on computer. Use copy function.  Navigate to phone in file browser. Use paste function.  Wait until files have copied.  Unplug phone.  Music now on phone.

BTW you can't transfer the contents of an iPhone to an Android phone with a cable.

Or another way, upload your music from you laptop to YouTube Music. Believe it now allows you to upload 100,000 tracks.
Then you can access it on any device using the Youtube Music app. Can then even download it from the app to your mobile if you wish.
For data, use Samsung Switch. This can be done over WiFi - https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-switch-from-ios/
Never used facial recognition, I stick with the fingerprint that works on all apps.
