Hi,
I've recently moved away from my family home that has probably a decade or more of credit history attached to it.
I'd completed the purchase of my new address two months ago but have only actively lived there for the last three weeks.
As a new homeowner I'm potentially looking at securing a 0% credit card for some of the upfront costs associated with owning a new home such as a few items of furniture or repairs, I haven't yet done this because I'm aware that applying for credit so soon after a mortgage has appeared on my credit file increases the chance of a credit card application failing.
One thing I haven't done is to move my addresses, aside from my mortgage provider and some associated services at the new address most of my details are registered at my old address (both addresses are within walking distance of each other though).
With this in mind would my aim to get credit in the near future be in any way hindered by me signalling address changes on services I have registered at my old address? Especially where those services relate to credit or have had a credit check in the past? Or have I already left it too long and should just change addresses asap?
Thanks,

I'd be inclined to get your address updated with all service providers as soon as you can. And perhaps most importantly with the Electoral Roll, as this is one of the key items any lender will be looking for.A recent change of address will, in itself, have a very tiny impact of your credit history, and actually it's probably far more important to have a "consistent" address registered with all credit providers.1
