Help! Ported mortgage but lost £2000 to bank?

Thanks so much for all the replies everyone. I have got to the bottom of it finally. Solicitor was told not to pay early redemption fees as they didn't count but they did anyway! The bank are sorting out the refund now. Phew!8

No. In addition, the amount of stuff conveyancers now expect us to deal with for them has gone up. We're now routinely involved in chasing up lenders for replies to conveyancer queries, obtaining confirmation funds will be there on a particular day... and so on.GDB2222 said:

Well you should get the £2,000 into your bank account soon.
If it was me I would pay the £2 000 off the mortgage ASAP
