Hi everyone! I’m a newbie, both here and in terms of using forums. Haven’t yet figured out how to reply to anything but thought I’d say hello regardless 🖐 Decided last night that I need to start bringing in some extra cash so we can have a holiday this year, and then saw this I’m twitter. I look forward to being inspired! I’ll aim for a safe £3 x 31 to start, so £93 (as I feel utterly clueless 😬😂) Starting off with £1.10 in nectar points today so £91.90 to go…
    Welcome @Djs72!

Have you got any ideas on how you're going to make the money so far? Or do you just want to see what everyone else is doing and sign up to things as they take your fancy? In previous months, I have been stating what my intentions are to make the money I want, so I can figure out if it's achievable. I haven't done that 'out loud' this month funny enough...maybe I will do that in a minute!

Here's a few pointers, and this is for anyone else of course too!!!

If you want some recommendations for surveys:

Toluna (I still haven't done this myself - but keep meaning too as others are doing well with it)
Prolific (There is a waitlist, but worth joining as it's less annoying that others and can be quite interesting!)
Qmee (You should be able to make £3 a day on Qmee, though it can be annoying when you don't get to finish surveys sometimes - but for lunch hour earning, I'd still recommend it!)

    Mystery shopping:

If you want quick and easy with quick paying shops, Tern. They don't pay loads, but I will always do them as you'll get the money the following week, even if you complete your write-up on a Sunday afternoon!
Bare Europe - pays in Euros, but I've done some good one with them

If you don't mind a few minutes of admin and a new bank account.... https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts/ There are some great bank deals available now! If you can't stomach the new bank account, open a Monzo account and use that for your switch! £200 very easy money!

If you're not signed up to TopCashback yet, ask one of us for a referral link! You'll earn and whoever refers you will earn too! Then refer your other half if you have one and earn again! If you shop online with supermarkets, they are all on there and if you can find a first time shop voucher, you can earn cashback and get a money off voucher at the same time!

Good luck!! Between us all here, if you want £93 a month for a holiday, we can definitely get you there! If you have seen any of the previous months threads, there have been quite a few people who have managed to get over £500, even £1000 in a month.

I got another £10 from Toluna yesterday, I also used my £15 hot diamonds voucher for a necklace which was then out of stock so they emailed me and said I could choose any necklace for no extra money! I picked one for £7.50 more so am including that. Plus Qmee this morning makes my new total: £106.32! £203.68 to go...
    xx

That's brilliant! What great customer service too!  <3

It’s brilliant to see how well people are doing, well done to everyone smashing it.

Two of my extra money-making methods have dried up as I’ve closed my low-paying mystery shopping account and am locked out of Curious Cat. I don’t have time for mystery shopping really and kept releasing assignments.

I’m up to £80.27 with TopCashback, nectar points worth pennies, Euros (discovered in a drawer and exchanged) a Prolific payout and credit card Cashback.

I’m plugging away at EBay with bids on items ending today and tomorrow, and hoping to reach £50 from YouGov soon after ignoring it for years.

But the main thing for me is that I now have a new temporary contract at work that has the potential to stabilise my income and to allow me to earn more after dreadfully testing times. Nothing to do with this challenge but putting my mind at rest.

I’m also due a tax rebate, if that comes off, I will add that here, but I don’t want to jinx it!

Have a lovely weekend all 💕

Nice one! Hope it all works out for you @MrsCautious! xx

I am adding in more myself from yesterday and today:

My share account I cashed in from being referred and then referring my husband, £54.78 and then more from TCB today, taking me to £184.20 for March so far....

    Thank you @CMD79 🥰

My total for March is now £105.27 after 2 eBay sales were paid for.

I’d been hoping for £10 of points from YouGov Finance to take me over the 5,000 points, £50 payout threshold, but it’s not happening! Oh well, only another 880 to go! 😬
  • I failed spectacularly in February 😓 can you put me down for £5/day this month?

Well, look - £3.81 is better than £0! Have you got any good intentions for how you're going to make your £5 a day? And if you haven't done any bank switches.... you can do your £155 in an hour and just wait for it to get paid! It's definitely not easy to do this, so don't beat yourself up.

You can only try. It's not a fail! Anything you make is extra. I find Toluna very good. I made £40 in vouchers last week. I also do Qmee, top £ back, £co and also include any found money- check all pockets! Also shopmium, check out smart, any bank interest. The switches are a good idea too. Lots of tips on here. Don't give up!

I'm up to £115.09 now for March and would like to thank Hobby Craft for my craft month £5 voucher.

Added another £9.24 after a payout from Prolific. Going steadily towards my target of £155 but might get stuck at the end!
