Credit record not found

Options
Hello. I’m applying for a rental through Open Rent and my partner’s report has come up as “Insufficient information provided” with the credit check listed as “Credit record not found”.

This is strange as she is registered with several credit check agencies has a good credit rating. She has been living and working in the UK for seven years, and is on the electoral roll. The one thing we can think of is that our current address is listed differently on different systems (eg Flat 1 vs Ground Floor Flat) and can’t be changed.

I’ve searched but can’t find anything on this. Does anyone have any ideas? Should we try and change the address through Open Rent?

Hi, has your partner checked with the three Credit Report Agencies herself? Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. If she can find her own reports, then it's strange that Open Rent can't since you say "she is registered with several credit check agencies has a good credit rating."  (Credit ratings aren't seen by anyone else. Lenders have their own scoring processes).

There's a lot of information in this link about credit reports and how to correct errors -

So if your current address, or any other information, is not correct on your partner's credit report, it can be changed but it won't be immediately. But if you are thinking of moving, it could be that you'll be having to report yet another change of address soon.

If there really isn't much information about your partner, then this information from Experian may be helpful -
