International wire transfer from US to UK gone missing

On February 16th, I transferred funds from my Morgan Stanley stocks account in the United States to my Revolut account. However, as of today, I have not yet received the money. I contacted Morgan Stanley, and they provided me with wire transfer documents to provide to Revolut to trace the transaction. Revolut confirmed that they have not received the funds, and I have requested that Morgan Stanley trace the transfer again.
I'm wondering if it is typical for wire transfers to take this long to go through. Additionally, I provided a Sort code, IBAN, and intermediary bank routing number for the transfer, but I did not need to provide a BIC. Is this a typical requirement for wire transfers?

Can someone with wire transfer experience provide me some advise please? Currently I have been given a MT103 form by sender which my bank has confirmed has the right beneficiary details and they didn't receive funds for that transfer.
Then I received a reference number for the funds transfer from the sender bank and my bank again confirmed they haven't received the funds. I have asked for a trace a few times and the sending bank hasn't provided me anything yet for over a week now.
They did suggest they can recall the funds but that will put a hold on the funds for 60 days once they receive and I won't be able to access them until that time. Is it best to go ahead with the recall now?
