Dynamo Breakdown Cover

I thought I had a good deal via supermarket link to Dynamo Breakdown cover £32 for one year and a small gift to Ukraine charity to make me feel good! This was August 2022. Now without notice £12.30 has been taken from my credit card account! I have complained by email and am waiting explanation! Has this happened to anyone else?

    Maybe consider self insurance
  • Yes they took £7.77 from my account and mine only has one month to go. I sold my car last July and when I tried to cancel my policy it would cost more than the actual policy ! So I let it run till the end. I will be challenging this and won't book with them again and I suggest no one else does either. Can Martin Lewis please alert us all to this rip off behaviour in one of his TV programmes please.

Really? This isnt good advice IMO.

My advice, go to with a decent breakdown provider. Start Rescue many of my family are with and have called them out and had no issues. They dont increase their price mid term either.

Alternatively if AA have half price cover and you have enough tesco clubcard points I would also recommend this route.
  • Dynamo cover price increased from approx £35 in 2023 to £145 in 2024 including a non refundable brokerage fee of approx £ 85 plus £15:99 cancellation fee.

They trebled my quote, based on I had to pay the discount from year 1 in year 2. I cannot cancel on the phone as they said to do this on the website. I cannot cancel on website. What is going on? This sounds like a shark company now. I have never had to use them. @martinlewis can your team investigate please, parotuclarly this area of transferring your premium into year two.
