Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast - some LO's, so that will make a meal tonight/tomorrow.
Back to work today, we'll see how that goes.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Hard frost this morning, the car is defrosting. Yesterday was glorious but a tad chilly out of the sun. Washing all dried again and put away, none to do today so hopefully it will stay dry for tomorrow.
Went swimming yesterday then went swimming again with DD and the little one to the 'posh' pool, best bit is the lovely warm jacuzzi!
Back to work this morning, loads to do so hoping for a peaceful day.
Hugs to those not feeling so good, take care. XX13 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work goes ok for you.Doesn't seem to be a bad morning, yesterday was cold and showery, so we didn't do the shed move.We didn't seem to do much actually, just pottering round the house. I tidied some drawers in the kitchen that badly needed it, and rearranged a couple of cupboards..Today, there's not a lot on the agenda. We'll collect Dgs from school, he wants to stay here tonight. He's not at school tomorrow as some of their teachers are striking.Hope you enjoyed your birthday Gers, and anyone else who had a birthday yesterday.Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.14

Morning all
Sunny here but very cold with a frost we even had a few flurries of snow yesterday !
I planted out some primroses yesterday so I hope they survive and I’ve not done it too early!
Sadly they found the body of the missing lady on Saturday in some woodland where we had been walking the week before, her poor family but at the very least they know she is at peace now.
Two ladies coming today and we will meet some friends and go bowling and Macdonalds both the ladies like doing this and it’s not too far to walk from the car for the one who struggles to walk.
Fish and chips for dinner with peas so nice and easy. The WM is on and doing it’s thing so will hang the washing out for a while.
Gers I’m sorry I missed your Birthday hope you had a nice day xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning folks. I've been lying in bed watching the sunrise, there could be a clear dry day ahead. There's a hard frost glistening in the sunshine, the sheep are blending into the ground. 😀Many thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday. With a twinge of guilt I can say that I had the best time for four years. I took off into the cold bright Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed wandering around the spectacular countryside. My overnight hotel was rather weird but I was happy to find somewhere which was open. On the way back I called in to my virus-struck friends with some supplies though I didn't go into their house. All my family phoned or texted according to time differences and I received some lovely presents. To top off my weekend the sky brought out its best performance, the Northern Lights were seen here. I haven't caught the show before and was riveted by the spectacle. I tried to get a photo of it all but failed, I'm yet to master night photos on my mobile. I'll post one of the beautiful Eilean Donan castle which I took yesterday. I stayed in my car as it was so cold!TA - I feel sure that we have missed your birthday, I hope that you had a wonderful time with family and friends galore. 🎉
Ruby - it's awful about your neighbour though good that she's been found.
Healing thoughts to all our poorlies and missing. Happy Monday to all.12 -

Hi everyone,
RR, how sad.
Gers, it sounds fab.
Yesterday I continued my sorting drive by tackling the odds and sods shelf in the kitchen (think drawer but a shelf). We had umpteen bottles of sunscreen. I'm loath to get rid of them all as some of them are full but they all have a 6m or 12m discard after opening, I don't know if that is because they are no longer effective. I also have a couple of packs of ood tablets to drop off at the pharmacy when I collect our prescriptions.
I have a dentist check up this morning. They rang to say their card machine is broken and would I take cash, I haven't taken cash out for months, if not years, luckily my pin is on my phone banking app.
Have a good day.9 -
Morning everyone I usually meet my friend for a coffee on a Monday but I have to go and choose my new blinds it’s the only time I can fit it in I am getting some that fit inside the window frames no cords or bits for my patio doors and windows in the kitchen we have a wall of glass and we are hoping it will be warmer with these fitted planning for next winter now I’m hoping he will be able to fit them sooner rather than later as we are away next week we will see can’t wait for this week to be done and I haven’t even started it yet we had a chilly showery day yesterday and it looks like it’s going to be the same the rest of the week chicken dinner when I get in tonight it will use up the leftover veg will have to keep a eye on fresh stuff this week although I will take it with us anything that’s left we are in a self catering cottage. Gers lovely photo RR that is so sad about the poor lady . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Belated birthday wishes GERS and no you haven't missed mine, it's still 2 weeks away. Lovely photo of Eilean Donan, it brought back memories of holidays spent in that area for me. My DB's BIL lives on the Isle of Skye, lucky man.
I have had a very sad w/e with bad news. BFF was admitted to hospital Friday night with confusion they thought related to the infusion she had 2 weeks ago, after her chemo, but a brain scan showed up a mass. Before deciding the course of action she is having a full body scan today. She is texting me nonsense but fortunately her lovely DIL is keeping me up to date. The future isn't sounding good. On top of this my DB is still having test after test on the lump on his neck. He has been told it's lymphoma and yet the tests continue without him learning more. Yesterday he had a GA and the lump was removed for biopsy. He has already had one so someone must know what they are doing. I feel bogged down with worrying about them both.
My one bit of good news was that my DS called in for a few hours Saturday morning. He has had one of the neverending lurgies and didn't want to pass it on to me. It sounds like a different lurgy to the one I had.
The workman due Thursday finally arrived Saturday and all this w/e I have been subject to banging, drilling, clattering driving me mad. I am hoping they finally got finished late yesterday afternoon. There is a right mess out back which I must sweep up today. Fortunately it is fine but not very warm.
Sorry not a very uplifting post from me. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and getting better. Take care all and be safe xx
