Hi. basically I think i need a new vacuum cleaner. the one I have is a bagless hoover whirlwind. it picks up most stuff, but whem it comes to cat fur, it seems to like to leave it on the carpet. chewed up like fur balls. so just wondering if you have any recomendations on which vacuum to buy, for a small two bedroom bungalow. there not loads of footfall here. just me and a large black n white cat. any advice appreciated.

If you have a cat, buy yourself one of these, I guarantee its the best couple of quid you'll ever spend.

If your hoover has filters, might also be worth checking if the filters need washing/changing.1 -
We use a combination. Shark vac for every few days, and stairs. Venga robot's to keep on top, daily. Then a carpet cleaner, more so in winter. On tiles/laminate a old school brush gets all the fine partials of dust up, followed by a mop. Balance of tech and tradition.0

Put on a damp rubber glove and pass your hand over the carpet . If you have kids, they usually love doing it.0
