windscreen replacement

Hi I have a Mazda MX5 ND and I need a new windscreen, I know this will be covered by the insurance but there is trim around the screen  that will need to be removed,
I understand that the clips are prone to break when removed.
My Question is will Autoglass replace the trim

Thanks

They normally do a good job so cannot see them spoiling yours for a couple of clips ,they probably carry them on their van along with other bits when changing screens.

I can't fault Autoglass. They changed everything on mine - camera, radar, and rain sensor - so a few clips and trim bits will almost certainly be replaced,

Did it all on my drive - under a big pull-out awning from their van.

Autoglass are well known for being really reliable.

    Hi OP

Like any job, its only as good as the person/s that completes it.

If they are doig at your home, watch them to ensure all clips are re-fitted and or broken ones replaced. Id works to be completed on their site, say you want to watch and if they won't accept that. go to another place yoyr ins outfit agrees with.

Also check your excess as this varies from policy to policy.

    Thnaks

Make sure they fit the correct screen - the right tint, whether it’s heated or not. They had to come back out to me as the rubber trim hadn’t been properly seated in the top corner

so it wasnt autoglass but auto windscreens I asked about the trim and was told they just replace the clips
I got half a mile down the road before the centre trim fell off it was obvious he had tried to stick the trim on with some sort of sealer and had not replaced the broken clips

    They will call me Monday

You must have got a poor fitter, I have had more than a dozen windscreens replaced over last 20 years by various outfits including heated screens, screens where cameras have had to be recalibrated after ,and never had any issues
