Does Closing Old Credit Cards Effect Reports?

I have some old credit cards that are no longer being used. If I request they are closed will it have any kind of impact for the next 6 years? They are low limit cards BTW.

They'll show as closed on your reports.
How a lender interprets that is down to their criteria and your profile. On a well managed file with other open accounts, it's not an issue.1 -
@morningcoffeeIV, thank you. I do have other well managed accounts so fingers crossed.
