Tax Credits Ending

Youngest child leaves college and goes to uni next financial year which means my eligibility to CTC and WTC will come to an end at the beginning of September.
Do I have to formally end my claim then or will it just drop to zero and not be renewed for the financial year 2024-25?
If I end the claim in September is it just my income from April 2023 to the end of the claim that is taken into consideration or is the whole of the 2023-24 tax year looked at?

From what I remember they pay until 31 August of the year your child leaves college.
You can still carry on claiming WTC if you meet the criteria. If both CTC and WTC end then you might be able to claim UC.0
