Have you been on JSA?

No never. Now all I will do is worry until I speak to someone on Monday.0

If it's a manual payment for something they tend to show up as JSA. I don't know what the £40 could have been for though.1

As above... I've had manual payments for ESA (such as when owed but changing handling centre due to moving region) under JSA description on statement.... but £40 seems an unusual amount and if you have time (to sit on the phone!) and no corresponding letter received I'd be tempted to ask about it...use number on top of DWP ESA letter."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

Yes I will be glued to the phone on Monday morning to find out why they sent it.
Thanks peeps it is a strange one.0 -
An ESA payment showing on your bank account as being from JSA is not unusual at all.Plus bank transfers are much quicker than the post, so it's not unusual to get a 'special' payment before you get a letter about it.ESA does not have it's own 'Fast Payment' system, so when they do need to make a 'special' payment they simply use the JSA system and it shows up up your bank account as JSA even though it's from ESA.They have probably underpaid you somewhere along the line, and there will no doubt be a letter about it in the post.
